I am of course confused by the ”Think Pink” scandal, so many things have gone wrong there. Another dimension of the whole thing is the company name think pink. Why did Bella Johansson choose that name for her waste management company? The color is easy to remember and it rhymes nicely, but what does it really mean?
The color pink is often associated with femininity and maybe think pink is to think like a woman. I read on urbandictionary.com that think pink means a thought process or action that is usually unique to women. An example of such an action is putting on makeup when going to the gym.
Was that what Bella Johansson was thinking, that pretending to take care of hazardous waste for money was a typically female idea? It seems unlikely, more likely that she just liked the color pink and thought it was a good name, without further consideration of how the color pink could be interpreted in the context of her business idea.
